This will be good for HDI -2.

(the following was emailed to Novation this morning)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Novation:

According to the New York Times today, your company is changing its ways '...to make it easier for new, lifesaving medical products to reach hospitals faster.' by '...us[ing] more medical supply companies...'. This adjustment of your previous behavior is intended to compensate for what many consider to be anticompetitive practices. These practices were outlined in a series of previous articles in The Times.

I suggest your company contact a small medical supply company, Hypertension Diagnostics. This company manufactures a non-invasive, rapid, and inexpensive cardiovascular (CV) screening device (the 'Profilor') which can provide very early detection of CV anomalies. It is precisely this type of company that not only provides novel and cost-saving devices but has had extreme difficulty breaking through 'old-boy' network of hospital suppliers.

Hypertension Diagnostics is the prototypical company for Novation to display its commitment to opening up the medical product supply juggernaut.

A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the authors of today's article in the New York Times.

Sincerely,
Ron Hellendall

Note: I have no relationship with Hypertension Diagnostics.
