Christ is eternal and divine. The divine nature of Christ was begotten, not made; his human nature was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and through this was made man.

The difficulty you have is in distinguishing between the eternal divine relationship that Christ shares as the ONLY begotten son of God and the Incarnation of Jesus. Eternally begotten should not be confused with human birth that has a definite beginning.
Begetten is part of the eternal nature of God the father. God's eternal and divine nature has always had in it the son and the Holy Spirit. There was NO time when the divine Jesus was NOT part of the Godhead. Jesus said: 'when you have seen me, you have seen the father'
Not only is Jesus co-eternal with the Father, he is also of the same divine substance--homoousia!

These are all profound and divine teachings given to the Church by the Holy Spirit to help man understand the relationship of Jesus to the Father.

There is an easier way to know the reality of this profound and divine truths. Simply approach Christ with an open heart and a desire for truth and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you. If you desire truth and reality, then seek the Lord with all your heart, you will find him. The doubts and intellectual difficulties that block your understanding of reality and truth will come face to face with your creator.
