Taking out Saddam right after we kicked him out of Kuwait was probably seriously considered but since it would have been so messy an alternative was put in place. Tim, and yet people think going in now is less messy? The truth is is that we blew it ten years ago. We could have gone and taken him out with little negative reaction [given that he had invaded Kuwait]. We go in now.......we look like an aggressor nation wanting everything to be in our image. Taking him out will create another Muslim martyr, and encourage another Saddam to take power in Iraq or someplace else. ted
