Agreed. But wouldn't you also agree, that capital is best spent by the people who earn it, not by the government which is notoriously inefficient with our capital? So indiscriminate tax cuts aren't the best plan, but it's better than leaving the money in the government's hands. Plus, if they cut taxes enough to get us to a huge deficit, maybe that will be a large enough incentive to be better at cutting all the pork. Whereas, if we leave tax rates high and get back to the surplus days, I would submit that there is absolutely NO incentive to cut back pork spending.
