But instead of dealing with the issue head on and maybe apologizing for your misleading statement, you turned it around and tried to make me wrong by blowing it off as something only a liberal would behave.

I don't know what you're talking about -- you seem to be rambling.

The point is, Bush can't do anything to please you. First he's too cozy, then he's pandering. Perhaps, just perhaps, he did what he thought was right.

It is a difficult concept for liberals, but Bush is not about polls. I firmly believe he totally ignores them. He does what he thinks is right. This, by the way, is precisely the same thing Teddy Roosevelt did -- it sometimes alienated his political base, but he didn't give one big damn about polls. TRUE LEADERSHIP.
