How do you know what black voters are thinking? I haven't noticed them abandoning the Dem party in any large way. The 1990s was the greatest economic decade for American blacks. They liked Clinton so much that they even called Clinton the first black President. JC Watts is retiring, partly because his conservative message wasn't resonating in the black community. Noone is holding blacks back from economic progress but themselves. Politicians have very little effect on an idividuals ambitions.

Please provide a link for Gephardt's suppossed quote about calling for a depression. I'd like to read it.
