I've already posted that I believe the Fed should cut rates 50 basis points as disinflationary forces are greater than inflationary forces at this point in time. Do I think they will? No. I think this interest rate cut talk was a trial balloon similar to political trial balloons. But the response of the market to the idea of interest rate cuts makes it more likely now than before this balloon was floated. fwiw.
