And there clearly have to be limits on what gov't can require citizens to do. The fact that there are things you must do or cannot do does not mean gov't should be given unlimited power.

Pay taxes? Yes, because the alternative is anarchy.

Join a union? Others may choose to, but why should I be forced to? And forced to put up with their corruption, rules, and bureaucracy.

There are reasons unions have been in a steady decline for decades. Maybe you should take a look at them.
