Ok, old front door was an 11" step. Not out of the stepable but people stepped on the threshold. Naturable step but broke down the threshold. OK, it was cheap and crappy. Now we have a new double door with a new and nice threshold. Good looking Oak threshold. I built a 7" step up so people wouldn't step on the wood. And even my wife said it looked good and worked. 6' 6" x 22" x 7" high. Not a scrap of wasted wood. 50 nails and not a one bent.
