ElM, The median of NZ$174,000 = about US$80,000. Rangataua is a little one-horse town, the house is adjacent to a railway line, which is a LOT of fun in the middle of the night. The Harrods shop was a clue, but the US$18,000 house is in pretty good condition - electricity, water, telephone, furnished and even included cutlery, kitchen stuff - walk in, put bedding on the bed and it was ready to go. But the guy wanted his home made kitchen table - sentimental reasons. About 1/5th of an acre, with separate shed, with toilet. All good Kiwi houses need a shed for blokes to do stuff.
