This must have been a product of the BBC's European service not its Worldwide service.

As far as the article is concerned, the myopia is total.

The world of CDMA 2000 doesn't exist.

There is no discussion of CDMA 2000 in Korea, Japan, China, North America, South America.

It is most discouraging to see an organization such as the BBC which is famous for its world coverage ignore so much of the world and specifically anything related to CDMA 2000 which has 98% of current 3G in place.

But most absurd of all is the straight faced reporting about people's attitudes about 3G when the narrow definition of 3G excludes where it is being used commercially - the Isle of Man is hardly the place to look.

Best.
