BRIAN BORGLUM has joined Global Thermoelectric, Inc., as Manager of Materials R&D. Global Thermoelectric, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a leading developer of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology. In his new role, Borglum will be responsible for cell and stack materials development in order to improve performance and decrease cost.
Additionally, he will oversee the development of manufacturing processes used to make the SOFCs and the transition of these processes to Global’s production plant. Borglum was previously Manager of Advanced SOFC Technology at Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA.
