Looks like the US and Koreans and Japanese will control the most valuable IP for 3G wireless software applications. Clearly, just like for MSFT and the PC, the software area will be where the most value will be created during the next 5-10 years. Having no 3G networks , Europe will miss out on the associated software product development cycles. This is a bazar consequence of myoptic, bull headed industrial policy.
