Glen Wright, chairman of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, will take the chairman's seat on the interim Hydro One board.
A look at the new Hydro One board of directors named June 11:
Glen Wright (chairman): Currently chairman of Cowan Insurance Group Ltd. and was appointed chairman of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board in 1996.
Rita Burak: Currently president and CEO of the Network Executive Team, Management Consultants, Inc. Served as secretary of cabinet under former Ontario premier Mike Harris from 1995 to 2000.
Murray Elston: Served as Liberal member in Ontario legislature from 1981 to 1994, serving as health minister, chairman of management board, minister of financial institutions and chairman of public accounts committee.
Dr. Murray Frum: Served as Chairman of Frum Development Group before being appointed chairman of the Ontario Arts Council Foundation, chairman of the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund and a governor of Mount Sinai Hospital.
Darcy McKeough: Chairman of McKeough Investments Ltd. and McKeough Supply Inc. McKeough was treasurer of Ontario and minister of economics and intergovernmental affairs in the cabinet of former Tory premier Bill Davis.
Don McKinnon: A lineman by trade, has been president of the Power Workers' Union since May 2000.
Bob Rae: Served as leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party from 1982 to 1996, and as premier from 1990 to 1995. Currently a partner in the law firm of Goodmans.
Ken Taylor: Currently Chancellor of Victoria University at the University of Toronto. Former Canadian Ambassador to Iran and the former Canadian Consul General in New York.
Adam Zimmerman: Retired chairman of Noranda Forests. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, he has served on 43 private-sector boards during his career.
Geoffrey Beattie: Currently president of The Woodbridge Company Ltd. and serves on the board of several companies, including The Thomson Corp.
Heather Munroe-Blum: An epidemiologist and vice-president of research and international relations at the University of Toronto since 1994. Future president and vice-chancellor of McGill University in Montreal
