Nuts. We did it pretty effectively for decades. All it takes is the political will. And the slapping down of liberals who think like you. Given the emphasis now being put on defense against terrorists, how can we do anything else?

Wrong. I did get an education in a field in demand and acquire skills in demand to bring that episode to an end, though.

So what do you proppose we do? Move all 6 billion humans on to the 3 million square miles of US territory? Sure sounds like it.

And why should just our neighbors who happen to be lucky enough to be living on the North American continent be the beneficiaries of our largess?

Has it ever occurred to you that if those people would straighten out their gov'ts and economic systems, they might get someplace too? Has it occurred to you that when the US takes in malcontents from these other countries, it lessens pressure on their gov't to change?
