Jay, you have made a couple of comments over the past day or two which prompt me to think of where it's all leading.

The ye olde idea of Christian love and the meek inheriting the earth has some resonance with me [although I'm an atheist]. The warriors don't understand that, being cultural derivatives of our alpha-male red in tooth and claw chimpoid antecedents, but the Ayn Rand crowd would see some prospects - though they'd leave out the love stuff as being too, umm, drippy or something [they'd aver that they love their families of course, which then leaves them in a logical quandary because they'd then need to define exactly what the heck a family is and how they know it's theirs anyway].

The voluntary exchange of things and voluntary relationships is a story still in the making, but it has gained currency over the eons because it is successful.

The current conflicts seem to stem from the idea that a powerful person can tell a less powerful person what will be. The USA is very powerful. However, the human psyche isn't especially receptive to the simple edicts of power.

I suspect that love or some sort of limbic psychological affiliation [to leave out the drippy connotation] is a powerful factor. I guess that's why alpha males and the powerful work so hard to induce patriotic fervour and lover of country - so that the corollary is "Okay, if you love your country, you should do as I say because I'm the boss". Which is why the expression about "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" is played out so often in reality.

Anyway, maybe you are right and the final outcome is a grunt, though I suspect more of an Ommmmmm or maybe more precisely, a humming bitstream in cyberspace. A little like the microwave background radiation of the universe which is obviously not some sort of Gaussian harmony waiting for us to join in. Maybe yin and yang are built into existence...

fly.cc.fer.hr There seem to be a lot of dualities such as spin of electrons etc, matter and antimatter, up and down [as in gravitationally], male and female [electromagnetism in romantic form], polarity ...

Re: Who started or paid for what; China, West China, Moslems there, military equipment, TwinTowers, Osama, Taleban, Pakistan, USA - better put CDMA in there as that money, like oil money, is now flowing around the world, lubricating power-hungry anti-Libertarian mania.

Well, a few days ago, I thought I'd figure out who to blame for Lockerbie's 747 crash [Libya is talking $20 billion compensation in exchange for being allowed to get on with life]. The trail went back into the mists of time and diverged to many people and places, mostly in revenge and to gain power.

Lockerbie, Ghaddafi [via his convicted agent], USA/British bombing of him and killing of his baby girl, murder of Police Constable Yvonne Fletcher, Libyan embassy, Ghaddafi, oh, look at this; American money going from CB's buddies to the IRA and then to Libya to pay for terrorism <Soon after the bombing, a ship - the Eksund - was stopped by French police and found to be carrying arms from Libya to the IRA.> news.bbc.co.uk

CB, did you earn any money which went to the IRA by any chance? Did you, or birds of a feather, encourage any IRA supporters, give them comfort and succour, sympathy? Your money went into Ghaddafi's loop and down went the 747 over Lockerbie.

The IRA has apologized; not that they have really done anything other than make a cynical verbal effort to regain lost ground now that Americans have learned up close and personal about the effects of terrorist ideology with the spectacular loss of the WTC. Gerry Adams is the face of the Matrix of Malevolence. Some people in the USA now realize that and they queue in airports and fly in fear, thanks to Gerry Adams and his Malevolent Matrix. Americans are not pleased.

Perhaps the IRA will offer $20 billion compensation to their victims. They should not hold their breath.

PLH&L,
Mqurice
