Paul, secular bear market: many claim we're in a secular bear market now. In simple terms that means lower highs and lower lows for the indices. If this is true, we cannot expect our stocks to behave the way they did in a secular bull market. I have not seen anyone here address this possibility. It might mean AMAT goes to 20 and then we ride it down to 11. Do you have an opinion or strategy to deal with this possibility? You have often reminded us that 70% of stock movement is due to it's index.

PS: I wish we could post charts here, like on iHub. We could hijack their AMAT board for this purpose, since nobody else is using it. This is how it would look investorshub.com

PS2: this weekend is the 'deadest' I've ever seen SI and iHub [Zeev is there, but even that doesn't produce as many posts as usual]. Maybe everyone is on the beach?
