PCS was formed with the February acquisition of Alchemy Semiconductor, a MIPS-based microprocessor company.

Ruiz continued to say that the non-PC Internet appliance market, including devices like Web tablets, automotive navigation systems, small-office networking and communication devices, has strong potential.>/b> "Connectivity devices will explode in capability and perceived value as we enable new applications utilizing wired and wireless broadband pipelines,” he said.
