Yes,it is not a question of being "run off", and I would not likely make the break permanent, even if I take one. It is a question of whether I have the energy or patience to deal with recriminations for holding aloof from the acrimony lately displayed, when I know for certain I would like to resist getting dragged into it. Usually I would just play things as they lay, but that does not sound congenial to me. I will have to see how things go......
