Take these FWIW:

Applied Materials (AMAT / Nasdaq)
Salomon Smith Barney
Expect the company to incorporate peer guidance as mid-point of its range, implying an expected range of 5%-15% sequential decline. We are revising down our price target from $38 to $24 on Applied Material's to better reflect market conditions. Maintain Buy rating.

Applied Materials (AMAT / Nasdaq)
Prudential Securities
Reducing estimates for the second time this quarter. Based on our field checks, we believe industry conditions could continue to deteriorate. We now expect AMAT to earn $0.19 per share in 2002 and $0.47 for next year. Guidance will likely come down, when the company reports July quarter earnings. Maintain Buy rating, but with our new $21 price target.
