Well, I'm a mindless Qultist, like you, so the answer to that rhetorical question is of course self-evident. I think therefore I Zomb.

Oh, I don't entirely blame Uncle Al for the present predicament. However, I do think that if he had acted a bit more promptly and forcefully during the bubble's apogee, things might be a lot more pleasant now.

Your points about the inflation rate are very good and generally forgotten in the discussion. However, this point has been minimized by all concerned including the media, the gov't and, yes, Uncle Al himself.

I also dispute the factual basis of your defense of his actions. Inflation was simply not a real problem during the bubble--a boost in interest rates and stronger jawboning would not have sent us back to the '70s. The economy was simply too strong. That's my argument in a nutshell.
