The media is really unbelievable. I was plowing over my stack of accumulated mail this weekend, and ran into the latest issue of Wired Magazine, a generally OK publication with lots of good forward looking things, including some crazy stuff that is enjoyable and, who knows, perhaps a harbinger of the future. It has a short article on GPRS, and how it will be the cat's pajamas. Said that 1x might be a competitor especially after it's data rate gets cranked up to 307 kbps. Naturally, the article did not mention GPRS's data rate or its less than stellar reception.
