I think its great what Verizon is doing, and the people I referred to in my post as kooks are not, in my view kooks. They are the people who are predicting a torrent of increase in internet usage if only we can reach a critical mass of end-user broadband connections. I don't know why you necessarily consider SOMA to be on a death march. BeamReach is being trialed by Verizon. SOMA is being trialed by NTT DOCoMo. I hope both carriers deploy full scale and every carrier in the world follows suit. For once we could see who is right about the great internet demand debate. I don't know what Sprint has to do with any of this other than that I wish they would deploy one of these networks as well. So relax. I was applauding the news.
