He's having trouble understanding because he's still in the winning phase of trading. You need to approach people on the losing phase of trading in order for them to get these kinds of things and even then sometimes it takes more than a few trips to the cleaners. Just as its the functional addict that is the most difficult to convince of the err of their ways.
