I don't know what jlallen noted as he is ignored. When a full count of all the ballots was undertaken according to the Florida guidelines for determining the intent of the vote then Gore won. That is the bottom line. Scalia knew that Gore would probably win and so stated that as his reason for stopping the election. He thought it was his God inspired duty to put Junior in the White House. washingtonpost.com TP
