I guess the moral of that story is that, if a woman wants her husband to be a good father, she has to give him at least one son.

Reading that brought to mind an interview with Jesse Jackson on TV this ayem. He was pitching a seven point program for improving children's education, I think it was. He had a nice simple list including taking your kid to school the first day and meeting the teacher, turning off the TV for three hours each evening, and reading to your kid every night. As he went through the list, I thought the guy was finally pitching something I could agree with. Until he got to number seven, that is, which was take your kid to church every Sunday. Well, maybe another day, another list...
