Jane's is predicting we'll attack Iraq in December, but that seems to be predicated on diplomacy breaking down in September.

>> What if Annan fails? Our prediction: an operation will begin with massive air strikes in December followed by the insertion of special forces and the fomenting of local rebellions. . . <<

Just for laughs, try this one. Flip Jane's prediction into reverse (it may be disinformation anyway) -- we'll put the special forces in first, foment the local rebellions next, and not wait for the UN to meet because they'll just try to throw road blocks. 57th UN General Assembly convenes on September 10, so that means . . . . we ought to be putting in the special forces and fomenting the local rebellions right about now.

I must have missed this: back in June, Washington Post broke a story that Bush authorized covert operations against Iraq, to take out Saddam, but when key members of Congress were asked about it, they thought it was fine . . . . including Armey.
