i figure betweeen owning metals/miners, and having cash on hand which few will have if deflation comes (don't care about what metals/miners do in that case), the major risk for the prudent bear here is that the country becomes communist somehow overnight more or less. which seems like an absurd idea, but you know how that goes. that's where the owning a fast boat that can reach the bahamas hedge comes into play. am i missing any other contingency plans i should know about?
