Let me see if I understand your logic correctly. If there is a problem with corporate loans, but the President himself got one over 10 years ago, he should ignore the problem? That is a nice summary of the demo attitude towards fixing problems. A couple of questions for you to test your hypothesis:

If someone exceeded the speed limit in their car at age 18, can that person ever be a traffic cop?

If someone smoked pot in college, could that person ever be a Supreme Court judge? Could he be any judge at all? Could he be the President of the United States?

All I can say is that it must be weird to think the way you do. People are not infallable, and VERY FEW have never done anything questionable or wrong (not acknowledging the loan was wrong). There were a lot of dems on this thread that said Bush should not be President because he drank a lot when he was younger. Flat out ridiculous imo.
