I thought that kind of speed trap was passe. Years ago I was riding with my cousin and got caught in the same thing--the small town city limits were extended far out of town, and a curve in the highway led steeply downhill to a 45 mph speed limit sign, behind which they were just waving people over and lining them up in caravans, Very efficient operation, herding 25 cars at a time to the office where they took your money and let you go.
