Appreciate your post SR, and sharing your previous experiences. It is my feeling that most of the people who share their thoughts on this thread have lived and experienced many life enriching and life changing events. Most posts reflect that.

Most of us have other lives other than SI, and busy ones (even if it doesn't seem it sometimes, from the amount of time we spend here at our computers.) Sometimes we read the words in the wrong way. Sometimes we say things we are really thinking, and by golly, once in awhile, someone else listens.

BUT for the most part, we are all here to learn from each other, or we wouldn't waste the time.

Of course, tensions are high in all of us right now. We all have a very large stake in these "foreign affairs, which have quickly in the last few months turned into internal affairs as well."

Most of us don't even want to think about any of our people going to war. But then again, most of us couldn't believe what happened on 9-11, and simply can not imagine another similar or worse event happening in our country, and just sitting by and let it happen .........again, and again..........
