Even Republicans have begun privately admitting what Democrats have been whispering: Mr. Cheney is running the country. He can't get off the ticket because Mr. Bush won't get off the treadmill. The Junior Bush is a serial addict. In the past his addiction was alcohol and nose candy. Currently he's addicted to the endorphins of treadmill and chopping wood in the sun. One problem with serial addicts is how quickly they change to something new when the thrill wears off the current fix. TP
