Why has Bush not made this case if it is so clear to you? Why is the world having so much trouble seeing this obvious justification?

Bush hasn't made any ATTEMPT at selling it to the world. If he DOES make an attempt, a significant part of the world will come along -- NOT that it matters. WE are the targets of Saddam, NOT them. We don't NEED them, they can just make it easier. As a true leader, Bush will do whatever is necessary to defend against Saddam, with or without support of the world community. This, is true leadership.

But to answer your question, the instant the weapons inspectors were refused unfettered access, any COMPETENT president would have taken decisive action. That wasn't done. However, we are well within our rights to do what is necessary to get weapons inspections back in place.

If we are unable to do so through negotiations, we will need to kill Saddam and those who support him.

Again, my question to you is "What constitutes 'legal' justification?"
