Well, I just spent some time digging through Lexis-Nexis, and the real story seems to be that the Iraqis did seize medical equipment from hospitals, and that some Kuwaiti babies did die as a result, and that some Kuwaiti adults died, too. Not hundreds. The stories were true, the numbers exaggerated.

To the extent that it was propaganda, it was being uttered by people whose country was invaded, and whose people were being tortured and killed, who were begging for help from the UN and the US.

In light of those facts, the smug assertion that nothing happened seems pretty shitty to me. Note that I am not accusing you of being shitty, yourself, but it only took me half an hour or so on Lexis-Nexis to figure out that the real story was more complex than the story you found appealing.

You may not have access to Lexis-Nexis, but the reporters who claim that nothing happened sure do.

You were duped. Have a nice day.
