Assuming you are correct.

Some of us believe in the death penalty, others don't. Some of us believe in abortion, others don't. I'm not familiar with state by state statistics regarding the death penalty.

Perhaps there are more crimes deserving of the death penalty as defined by law committed in Texas than elsewhere? I certainly wouldn't expect Californians, for example, to exercise their right to assign death for crimes deserving that penalty very often. (It has been proven time and time again that powerful (judges) in California do not favor the death penalty).

Those opposed to the death penalty don't have to live in Texas, and career criminals would be wise to avoid breaking the law there.

I suppose you could make the same argument for abortion.

Which states do you think have the most abortions, and could their citizens be considered full of blood lust? Oh that's right, I forgot. Liberals don't consider fetuses human therefore the term 'blood lust' wouldn't apply.
