What happens if we get a whole new generation thinking that way? It's already beginning, was discussing with my son putting some of his savings in the market eventually just the other day, instead of having it sit in a barely-any-interest savings account for years to come. His response - hell no, he's only ever getting CDs and savings bonds. PERIOD. He feels any money he puts in the market will instantly be lost. He's about to turn eighteen, what these kids are seeing now will most definitely affect them and their investment attitudes for the rest of their lives.
