IBR CONTINUES BUILDING TEAM
The board of International Bio Recovery has welcomed two new employees to the IBR team.
Shannon Kaustinen, BMgt, CGA, has been appointed the company's controller. She brings with her public and private company experience in start-up, growth and more established corporations. Ms. Kaustinen holds a bachelor of management degree (human resources and marketing). She is contributing a high degree of energy to IBR's team.
Wayne Manary, PEng, has been appointed as senior engineer, to provide technical support to IBR's growing plant design and process engineering needs. Mr. Manary is a mechanical engineer with over 17 years of process engineering experience in a wide range of design, evaluation, optimization and upgrading projects in Canada and internationally, and brings with him a wealth of skills and knowledge directly applicable to IBR's future growth.

IBR ANNOUNCES CHINA DEAL UPDATE
International Bio Recovery has made demand to CFO & Company, Ltd. of Shanghai, for the final payment due to IBR, under CFO's contractual agreement to purchase the technology rights to the People's Republic of China. The final date for payment is Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002. Part of the proceeds of this payment are scheduled to retire the remaining $1-million that IBR owes Galaxy Power Bio-Technologies Enterprises Limited of Hong Kong, which became due on Aug. 2, 2002. Galaxy has given notice for demand of payment by Aug. 13, 2002. IBR is pursuing alternative financing to satisfy the loan repayment.
