David, You and I will disagree on Nixon's Vietnam policy.

He had the chance to openly agree with most of the people I associated with, and pull out in '68. But he, like Johnson, wouldn't be the one to lose a war.

Instead he half heartedly bullshitted around and didn't accomplish anything except the death of around another 400K americans and god only knows how many Vietnamese 'cause he was afraid to either get out or go in right.

If you're going to fight a war, then fight the damn thing, but don't bullshit around.

And more important, he stuck those dopey price controls on that screwed the economy for 5 years.

And, while I'm no supporter of Clinton's lying before the grand jury -- I think that should have had him impeached -- I think Nixon's lying over the war, piece plans, and burglary were worse.

Anyway, that's about my position.

But he was better than Johnson.
