10:16 ET Bonds rally as economy questioned : Treasuries are once again posting huge gains today; the 10-year note is up 28/32nds and the yield has dropped below 4% to 3.98% - the lowest in 40 years. Speculation in the bond market is that portfolio managers are giving up on the US economic recovery. Though the drop in interest rate holds out the prospect of a continued refinancing boom for consumers, the more immediate impact is to undermine investor confidence in the economy and stocks.
