TAIPEI, Aug 14, 2002 (AFX-Asia via COMTEX) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (2330.TW) said it purchased 348 sets of semiconductor equipment worth 302.80 mln twd from Applied Materials Asia/Pacific Ltd between Aug 24, 2001 and Aug 14, 2002. TSMC closed up 1.00 twd at 51.00.
