Ish, You bet it does. When we drive out into the country, or to another town, there are still black, charred, areas from all the fires last year. I realize that some fires are started by nature, and have a purpose to clear, and encourage new growth, but these days, far too many huge fires are caused by human ignorance, carelessness, or intention to destroy. This, so far, is a good summer for rain, and I hope that it will help the land recover from the serious drought from the last few years.
