Wed 14 Aug 2002 News Release
Mr. George Elliott reports
TITANIUM CORPORATION INC. DRILL CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY
An extensive drill campaign has begun after Titanium (TCI) was granted a
drill permit by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. This
permit allows for the drilling of 60 Pionjar holes so that TCI may continue
the expansion, definition and infill drilling of its titanium-bearing heavy
mineral sand project near Truro, N.S.
George Elliott, president of Titanium, states: "This drilling permit will
allow us to follow up the investigation of the high-grade southern sandbar
extension for an additional one kilometre along the upstream part of the
Shubenacadie River. This ongoing drilling program is a vital component in
TCI's development into a commercial operation. The combined and correlated
results of all our drilling, metallurgical investigations and the
sedimentology/hydrologic research will be an integral part of a future
feasibility study on our Shubenacadie titanium sand project."
To date, TCI's drilling program has already yielded both positive drill
results and identified a trend of increasing grade as the deposit is traced
to the south (please see news in Stockwatch on Jan. 15, 2002). The
aforementioned new area targeted for exploration is an extension that has
been identified as Sandbar 12. Named for easy reference, Sandbar 12
represents the current total numbers of identified titanium sandbar
deposits exposed during low tide.
Additional exploratory drilling is intended for the upstream portion of the
Salmon River to test for a possible extension to the east. Infill drilling
is also scheduled for the remainder of the deposit which will give an
increased degree of confidence and control in future engineering design and
mine planning work.

"forward-looking" statements.
