Sarmad, I don't think that we will see much of an economic pickup. Economic forecasts are being revised downward. You may find it interesting to read the first three articles at: morganstanley.com I would pay particular attention to Steve Roach. For the past year his predictions have proven closer to results than anyones. In my view looking at past backlogs is not overly helpful for this cycle. What counts as always is end demand for the products that use chips and end demand is stagnant. If the economic forecasts I referred to are close to being correct we will not see a significant demand increase for some time.
