But wouldn't the NRA want each country citizens to have the same gun toting rights that we have? And speaking of mentally unstable; since Charleton Heston has announced he has Alzheimer's should he give up his guns???

That's a very real possibility....the most basic instinct for animals and humans is survival...a person such as yourself may have guns of all sort to try and insure the survival of yourself and your family. I don't think Saddam wants to die so it is conceivable that he would arm himself with WMD just to try and insure the survival of himself and his regime. I don't think he would use such weapons preemptively, which would guarantee his destruction, but I can imagine that he might use them in a last ditch attempt to save himself and his regime.

Then why are we supporting him by buying his oil????

No, but then I don't identify with a person's needs to be President of the US either..... I think what your failing to do is to try and analyze an opponents needs and thinking process, whether it's an enemy of the country or a debating opponent. One way thought leads to mental constipation...in the science and engineering fields one is constantly reminded to "think outside the box".
