I don't have a clue about Appl's book value, but there is a lot more to a price of a stock than book. For example, a discounted cash flow of future losses!!! My understanding is that APPL's new CEO is going to have their new models run Windows sortware by design rather than using software emulators or add-on circuit boards. Presumably this means they will be using INtel chips along with their Motorola CPU, which cannot help their cost/price. I agree 100% with your color PC analogy. It is a big market and probably could have supported two platforms no problem. Would have been healthy for the market too! Don't be too sure about that installed base keeping them afloat. I work for a company that has 500 Macs and probably a few dozen PCs. A decision has been made to replace the Macs with WINTEL machines over the next 5 years. Big companies don't put up with this shit! I am tempted purely on technical grounds to buy some, but is very risky. Someone may want to buy them out...Sun often mentioned. Chris
