Rose, It probably would. The cake will act like a sponge literally and make it mushy. You could prepare everything ahead of time and exclude the cake until the last minute before you serve it. Now you have gone and given me a craving for it. I have to be careful with how much sugar and carbs I eat now because they diagnosed me with Gestational Diabetes. I have to finger stick myself five times a day and take two injections of insulin a day. Thank goodness I have clappy to give me the shots. I can test my blood no problem, but to actually give myself the needle I have a problem with. I have just under 12 weeks left to go and it not soon enough.
