My best case scenario would be FM dropping back to $16.50, at which time I would buy back all of the position I sold at $18. If it drops below $16, I will back up the truck and load up. I've done this sort of thing several times during the past 2 years during FM's ran up from $5, but I'm not usually this lucky to call the top of a trading cycle. Who knows, tomorrow FM may climb back up towards $18, at which point I will throw up my hands and jump back in again.

I don't know the status of the lawsuit, but Vons and FM could settle tomorrow on the courthouse steps, in the judge's chambers, over a martini at lunch, whatever. My point is that it is a wild card with relatively little downside potential for FM, except perhaps court costs.
