" If you are a Christian believer then I have to refer to the teachings of Christ................didn't Christ come down to earth to set the path straight.....didn't he preach things like "turn the other cheek" and treat thy neighbors like you yourself would want to be treated? Didn't he say to pray for your enemies? I don't recall Christ preaching revenge politics like ............"Go get-um and bring um back dead or alive!!!" I have always believed that Christ had to come down here to set forth an example that would rectify the craziness of the Old Testament which is full of revenge, fear and murder. The Old Testament depicts God as someone who will get even with you if you cross him!!!........ SOme of the fundamentalist religions describe God and interpret the Bible on the level of the Arab terrorists. The Hell and damnation routines get old after a while and are certainly not becoming to any loving person not to speak of an omnipotent and loving God. TO lead people into that kind of barbaric behavior under the name of God is an example of someone leading the flock astray..........in fact into the valley of antichristian behavior. ALso, the use of fear by many of these religious gamers is totally not of the doctrine taught by Christ. Hell and brimstone went out with the birth of Christ and the New Testament. God was pretty smart to give us a free will so we could figure out all the hypocritical and diabolical behavior and talk that comes from the mouths and minds of so-called Christians. But then that's what makes him or her God and leaves the rest of us here trying to figure it all out.! The above is just my opinion and cannot be proven scientifically. It is not meant to insult anyone who believes differently. I accept that many here will disagree. Pat
