As individuals people are clever. The danger is when individuals get together and become masses. Masses, release Barabbas and crucify Jesus Christ.

You get a Thomas Jefferson single handled to write the US constitution and makes a successful country. You get General Macarthur, to, again alone, write Japan's constitution, and makes another successful country. Masses approve invasions of Iraqs and carpet bombing of Afghanistans.
