*OT* Dell has been handed a "gift" by the HWP-CPQ merger (which is a mess and will be for months, likely years to come)..two biggest competitors, screwing up each other....GTW's gamble on the retail store/funny accounting has permanently eroded their share too. There really is no one else in that space.

I think Dell is now a safety stock...a mini-Microsoft play (sure, balance sheet doesn't look as good, but business model sets them apart from all competitors..ok, not a monopoly, but some unique price/systems advantage nonetheless...I bet institutions are loading up on their buys (Dell will not be going out of biz..what else does a tech fund manager buy?)

Having said, I think it still sees 16 and below before this is all over ng
